SThree

Hilary worked on contract for SThree for most of 2008 as part of their php/Oracle development team. SThree is a major player in the recruitment business, operating through well-known brands such as Huxley Associates, Computer Futures, Real IT, Progressive in many market sectors and throughout the world. The head office in Wimbledon provides a wide range of IT support functions to all the offices.

SThree are keen proponents of eXtreme programming and Hilary enjoyed getting to grips with the new methods of working and with Oracle.

Projects worked on included some work on the ITJobBoard, a CV database and it's administration interface for the IT Job Board which is open by subscription to recruitment agencies and is called Recruiter Zone. Also an intranet application for SThree's own consultancies which interfaces with financial systems using XML and provides billing and commission information to the consultants.
